Hathaway-Sycamores Hits a Grand Slam at Dodger Stadium

Storied Dodger Stadium was again the site for Hathaway-Sycamores Child and Family Services’ 2014 Celebrating Children Awards Reception on Tuesday, Sept. 16. Some 400 people attended the annual event, which raised nearly $155,000 that will help fund the therapeutic and other crucial support services that Hathaway-Sycamores – one of Los Angeles County’s largest mental health and welfare agencies – provides each year to thousands of children, youth, young adults, and families facing serious life challenges.

Those on hand for this major-league special event not only had the entire stadium to themselves – as the Boys in Blue were battling the Rockies in Colorado – but they also were treated to a meet-and-greet photo/autograph session with Dodger great and six-time National League All-Star Ron Cey. Roger Owens “The Peanut Man” was also in attendance mingling with guests.
