ASID Tour Raises More Thank $1700 For Hillsides

Small was beautiful for Hillsides during the 28th Annual American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Pasadena Chapter’s Kitchen and Home Tour that highlighted the beauty of small homes. The event, held on Sunday, October 19, raised $1,773 for Hillsides.

Tickets for the tour of four residences in Pasadena and La Canada professionally designed by ASID designers sold for $40 in advance and $45 at the door. Proceeds benefited the ASID Pasadena Chapter Interior Design Student scholarship and community projects, with a portion donated to Hillsides.

“We are very appreciative of ASID’s support of Hillsides. These funds will be put to good use as Hillsides continues to expand its services and programs to families and children throughout Los Angeles County,” said Hillsides Chief Executive Officer Joseph M. Costa.

Hillsides, which serves 7,500 children and families at 19 sites from Hollywood Hills to the San Gabriel Valley, recently launched a substance abuse program and is growing its community-based mental health centers. In addition, its new drop-in Peer Resource Center, located in Pasadena, serves 400 unique youth a year.

The designers of the kitchen and home tour were Gregory W. Parker (Parker West Interiors), Emily LaMarque (Emily LaMarque Design Studio), Sara Bates (Sara Bates Interior Design), and Debbie Talianko (Talianko Design Group). For more information on ASID Pasadena, please visit www.asidpasadena.org.
