San Marino High School Grads Have Chance Meeting In Africa

by Mitch Lehman

Of all the security details in all the countries in all the world, two San Marino High School graduates recently ended up patrolling the same soil.

“Only in Bangui, Central African Republic, can one meet a fellow Titan,” reported Philip Hanf, a 2007 graduate of San Marino High School and 1st Lieutenant, United States Marine Corps.

Hanf crossed paths with 1989 grad Henry Lin, U.S. Department of State and a Commander in the United States Navy.

The two were serving as Diplomatic Security Service agents in Bangui and a mess hall conversation over lunch revealed they hailed from the same home town.
