Villa Esperanza Guild will hold their 17th annual ‘A Day of Thoroughbred Racing’ benefiting Villa Esperanza Services on Saturday, February 28.  Over 150 guests are expected to join together at the Santa Anita Racetrack, Club House Terrace and enjoy lunch, raffle and prize drawings in addition to a fantastic day of racing. This event supports Villa’s Hjelte-Phillips Speech and Language Center and Residential and Independent Living programs, two of Villa’s nine programs that help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities gain greater independence.

Sponsorships for the event are available as well as tickets. Event tickets are $125 each and include valet parking, admission to the park plus an official program, seating at a table for four with your choice of lunch. “I look forward to this event each year,” shares Villa Esperanza Services CEO, Kelly White. “We are grateful to the Guild for all of their hard work and dedication in coordinating it and encourage everyone to come out for the day.”  You may purchase tickets online at  HYPERLINK “http://www.VillaEsperanzaServices.org” www.VillaEsperanzaServices.org or call 626/449-2919, ext.111.

Chairing this year’s event is Norma Velvikis.  The Benefit Committee includes Guild President Linda Matsuno-Parmenter of San Gabriel, Barbara Jameson and Connie Ching of San Marino, Judi Moore of Bradbury, and Nancy Pierson of Sierra Madre.  The Villa Esperanza Guild was formed in 1968 to increase awareness of the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
