‘Golden Apple’ Award goes to Stephanie Duncan

Stephanie-Duncan

By Mitch Lehman

A lifelong motto of ‘children first’ and a belief that “equal opportunity in learning is the basic foundation for a child’s journey through education” has come full circle, and last week, long-time San Marino volunteer Stephanie Duncan received the Golden Apple Award at a ceremony sponsored by the Northwest San Gabriel Valley Administrators Association.

The list of awards Mrs. Duncan has received from the San Marino Unified School District is, basically, the list of awards that can be given to volunteers. In more than two decades of service, she has served on every significant post with the PTA and PTSA and has received the Huntington Halo Award, the San Marino High School ‘Terrific Titan Award’ and was recognized by the PTA with the Honorary Service Award and Continuing Service Award at Founders Day.
