Steve Talt to Seek Council Seat

Longtime San Marino resident and local attorney Steve Talt told The Tribune last week that he will seek one of the two city council seats that will be up for grabs at the Tuesday, November 3 election.

“I believe that in the last several years we have been so focused on this ‘Making San Marino Better’ list that we have forgotten what makes San Marino great,” Talt said, referencing a city council agenda item that addresses possible improvements within the city.

Though consistently interested in local issues, Talt – the San Marino Tribune’s 2014 ‘Citizen of the Year,’ – ramped up his involvement in September, 2013 when the city’s Housing Element came under debate and the father of three soon became one of the leaders of a group that evolved from the movement and soon united under a common goal of preserving San Marino’s unique architectural palate.
