As one San Marino resident requested approval for a two-story expansion project on his home last week, neighbors went so far as to call for a moratorium of the construction of two-story houses throughout the city.
They spoke up during the regular Design Review Committee meeting on March 4 as James Ching, a resident on Davenport Road, presented his plans to the committee yet again. The project has been under review for more than a year.
“To my knowledge, the majority of us are against this,” said Celia Hunt, a neighbor on Davenport Road, referencing the neighborhood’s thoughts on this particular project.
