LOS ANGELES Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the 18th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, joined USC President Max C.L. Nikias and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti Monday at Town & Gown Auditorium on the USC campus.
Dempsey came to USC to comment the University on its efforts to aid veterans and their families coping with the strains of military service. USC’s Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans & Military Families, headed by Anthony Hassan, EdD, recently released the Los Angeles County Veterans Study detailing the challenges facing Los Angeles’ large veterans community.
