San Marino Unified School District Set to Release New Apps

By Krista Daly

The wait is just about over. On Monday, April 6, parents of a child or children attending a San Marino school will be able to download apps on their iPhone or Android that will give them direct access to events, calendars and news related to the school district and the individual schools within the district.

“We want to get information directly to the parents and increase communication,” said Stephen Choi, SMUSD chief technology officer, who introduced the concept to the community via The Tribune in a January 8 article.

The free apps will allow a parent to more easily connect with teachers, keep up with attendance records and grades, like to the PTA and Power School.

For the full story, see the print edition of the San Marino Tribune, or download the e-edition.
