The San Marino Unified School District is exploring the possibility of purchasing from the city the San Marino Center and will discuss further options at their Tuesday, April 14 meeting at the district office.
Superintendent Alex Cherniss told The Tribune that the district would then consider building a gymnasium and other related facilities on the site.
“The district is exploring the possibility of acquiring this property,” Cherniss said Tuesday morning. “This could be a great opportunity for our middle school to finally realize a gymnasium and this could also be a tremendous facility for the San Marino community.”
