The 2015 Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts has officially opened its doors to the public.

From now until May 17, people have the opportunity to view the transformation of a San Marino house after 18 interior deign firms with interior design advisors and eight exterior design advisors had a chance to bring their creative flair to rooms and outdoor areas.

Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts President Katherine Watkins described the event like a wedding in the sense that a large number of people have spent a year getting ready for the opening, and the big day has finally arrived.

“It’s all theoretical – inside out upside down – until you get people here,” Watkins said.

For the full story and a gallery of photos, see the print edition of the San Marino Tribune, or download the e-edition.

Also, check out a transformation video of the house, which is played on the shuttle from the Rose Bowl to the showcase house.
