Meet Ticket: San Marino High School’s Acting Dog

By Stacy Lee

A 4-year-old Chihuahua-terrier mix has stolen the hearts of theater audiences at San Marino High School and beyond.

The appropriately named Ticket has appeared in approximately 15 shows at the high school and even has her own calendar.

“She was in all the musicals,” said Blake Williams, high school drama director. “She’s in some of the plays.”

Some of Ticket’s credits include Toto in “The Wizard of Oz,” the iguana or “Doguana” in “The Addams Family,” the rabbit in “Spamalot,” a Pink Lady’s dog in “Grease” and Potiphar’s dog in “Joseph.”

Ticket’s first role at San Marino High School was as Nana 2 in “Peter Pan.”

“The students love to work with Ticket,” Williams said. “She gets a great audience reaction.”
