San Marino Rotary will present its 11th Annual Salute to the Academy Appointees Program on Thursday, June 4 at 12 p.m. at San Marino Community Church’s Fellowship Hall.
Abigail d’Autremont, a 2005 graduate of West Point, will be the keynote speaker.
The military is in Abigail d’Autremont’s blood. She traces her ancestry in the military many generations back to France. From the time her family came to America, they have had officers in every generation; she proudly attests that she was the fifth consecutive generation to serve her country.
San Marino Rotary began its Salute to the Academy Appointees 10 years ago because member Jim Nash’s son, Miles Nash, a San Marino High grad, had just been accepted to the United States Military Academy. The 15 appointees of Congresswoman Judy Chu will be feted at the Thursday, June 4 luncheon.
The public is invited to attend this luncheon. The cost is $15. Reservations are encouraged and can be made through co-chair Bill Payne at 626-252-9505 or firstname.lastname@example.org
