Eugene Sun Will Chase Third Term

Tells Tribune He Has Been Encouraged to ‘Let the Voters Decide.’

Mayor Eugene Sun told The Tribune today he will seek a third term on the San Marino City Council at the Tuesday, November 3 election.

“I think there is still some unfinished business,” Sun said. He joins fellow incumbent Dennis Kneier, Scott Kwong, Stephen Huang and Steve Talt in a crowding race for two seats.

“I was on the fence,” Sun acknowledged, “but quite a few community members have encouraged me to run and let the voters decide. ‘If they think you are doing a good job and you are experienced, they will elect you. If not, they will elect someone else,’ they have said. I just hope I can earn the trust of the voters to return me to the city council.”
