Talks of relocating the two cell towers on San Marino Unified School District property are still ongoing, according to city officials.
“Most people think that the SMUSD cell tower is a done deal, but it is not,” said Miriam Nakamura-Quan, a member of the Cell Tower Advisory Committee. “Right now the trajectory of the future of these two cell towers is still uncertain.”
American Tower is being forced to relocate because the Cell Tower Advisory Committee discovered it was close to or on the Raymond Fault Line, and that it had no permits or inspections, she said.
There was even documentation that deemed the tower an“unsafe construction,” Nakamura-Quan added.
