Combating Traffic on the 710 Freeway

Relief is being sought for the traffic jams and overcrowded buses and trains in the Los Angeles area.

Because of the limits of the 710 freeway, which abruptly ends in the Alhambra area, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has conducted an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to measure the impacts of various methods to improve transportation. Five options have been proposed, said Michelle Smith, project manager of the Highway Program with Metro, who presented this information at the latest Mayor’s Community Meeting.
