Beverly Hills Student’s Opera Talents Flourish

Very few of us can say we found our life’s calling at age 4.

Golda Berkman is one of those lucky few. Twelve years later the Beverly Hills High School sophomore became the grand prize finalist in classical voice of The Music Center’s Spotlight Awards last March, becoming one of the youngest winners ever in the competition. The soprano sensation joined Maestro Steven Kerstein and The Burbank Philharmonic for a free concert on June 13 at the Hall of Liberty at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles.

Golda performed a selection of favorite opera arias from Mozart, Puccini and Gounod.
