San Marino Police Arrest Commercial Burglary Suspect

San Marino Police arrested an El Monte man in connection with a commercial burglary earlier this year.

Thomas Nicholas Tusing was taken into custody by San Marino police on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at approximately 11 a.m. at Pasadena Superior Court where he was appearing on another case.

Later on during the afternoon, San Marino Police served a search warrant on the residence of Tusing.

Tusing is being charged in connection with a burglary on April 17 at 4:53 a.m. at Kraemer Jewelers, 2508 Huntington Drive, according to police. Two suspects smashed the glass front door and entered the store. Once inside, the suspects smashed the glass table tops and removed several pieces of jewelry. San Marino Police Detectives have been investigating this burglary and throughout the investigation recovered DNA evidence. The DNA evidence was sent to the Glendale Crime Lab for testing, where it provided a positive match. San Marino Police were able to identify the suspect as Tusing.
