A record-shattering season last year has landed San Marino High School senior J.P. Shohfi on two national watch lists, which were published recently by Max Preps.
Shohfi was listed among the ‘Top 5 returning high school football receivers for the 2015 season’ and ‘10 under-the-radar high school football players to watch in 2015.’
Shohfi might qualify for “under-the-radar” status on a national basis, but just a few miles away, opponents can recite his name, rank and serial number.
Receiving passes from fellow senior Carson Glazier – who also re-wrote the Titan record book – Shohfi made four touchdown catches against both Monrovia and Temple City, racking up a season total of 25.
In 12 games, Shohfi hauled in 81 catches for 1,821 yards, making him the fifth-leading returning receiver in the nation.
