San Marino Burglary Suspect Arrested

By Krista Daly

A man was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 1 after DNA evidence linked him to a residential burglary in San Marino that occurred in February. Andrew Aguilar is currently on parole for a separate residential burglary.

He was taken into custody by San Marino Police Detectives at his home in Fontana, with the assistance of Aguilar’s parole officer. Aguilar was arrested for PC 459/residential burglary.

“For us it’s great,” said Sgt. Tim Tebbetts, of the San Marino Police Department. “Anytime we can piece something together like this, we’re happy.”

The burglary was reported on Feb. 21, 2015 in the 3100 block of Monterey Road. Unknown suspect(s) forced the rear door and stole two purses and attempted to steal a safe, which was found outside in the driveway.
