SAN MARINO (CNS) – A sheriff’s deputy on a motorcycle was injured in a crash in San Marino Tuesday evening.

The crash on San Gabriel Boulevard at Lorrain Street occurred at 6:39 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which was handling the investigation. CHP officers said the deputy’s motorcycle collided with a sedan.

The deputy was attached to the Transit Services Bureau, and deputies at the nearby Temple City Station said they were told he was not badly hurt. The Transit Services Bureau provides security to Metro trains and buses countywide.

San Gabriel Boulevard remained closed to traffic 90 minutes after the wreck.

Metro buses were on detour.
