The community is invited to the annual police and fire open house on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the San Marino police and fire stations. Attendees will receive information on protecting themselves and their neighbors from crime, starting a neighborhood watch group and preparing for a major disaster. There will also be a M.A.D.D. Drunk Driving display, a CERT introduction and demonstration and a fire department demonstration.
Information will be provided on senior scam stoppers and how to protect against identity theft and scams as well.
Free services and activities include child fingerprinting and photo service, document shredding, child seat instruction and installation as well as a reptile display, pony rides and petting zoo. Food and drinks will also be available.
