Red ribbons adorned the city last week as San Marino Unified School District celebrated Red Ribbon Week with schools across the United States and the world.

Partnership for Awareness coordinated the week’s activities with representatives from all four of the district schools.

“PfA feels a unified celebration of Red Ribbon Week is important in our district to support healthy choices for our children from transitional kindergarten all the way up through high school,” PfA Red Ribbon Week Chair Lindsay Lytle said. “We want to empower kids with information, support and motivation so that they can make good choices for themselves today and in the future.”

“It’s a consistent message from kindergarten to 12th grade about making healthy choices in life,” PfA President Krishna Rao said. “It’s the only event we do for all the kids in the same week.”
