The longest city council campaign in memory is in the books – a full 10 months since candidate Scott Kwong announced his intent to run in a New Year’s card to the community – with favorites Steve Talt and Dr. Steven Huang as the top vote-getters, officially unseating incumbents Eugene Sun and Dennis Kneier.

Newcomer Scott Kwong finished in fifth place in the race that welcomes two graduates of San Marino High School to the city council, where they will join Dr. Allan Yung, Dr. Richard Sun and Richard Ward.

The Public Safety Tax and Utility User Tax that were on the ballot each passed by significant margins.
