San Marino High School’s girls’ varsity tennis team claimed four of the top six spots at the Rio Hondo League individual tournament, which was recently held at Live Oak Park in Temple City.

Senior Devon Jack, who will continue her career next year at Brown, is a three-time league champion, having won doubles as a sophomore and singles the past two seasons. As a freshman, she finished second to San Marino’s Dorothy Tang, who now plays for Princeton. Jack is currently ranked 66th in the nation in Girls’ 18 and 14th in Southern California. Jack didn’t lose a single game, owning Katherine Wu of Temple City and Molly Round of South Pasadena by identical scores of 6-0, 6-0.

San Marino’s Sabrina Lieu finished third in singles, defeating Round in a tiebreaker. Lieu checks in at 156th in Southern California 16s.
