The American Cancer Society Chinese South Relay For Life will present the “Bark For Life” event on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Lacy Park from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The fundraising event honors the lifelong contributions of canine caregivers to cancer survivors. Families and their dogs will come together for a few hours of celebration and companionship, and complete a one-mile walk. There will be doggie games, dress-up contests and music. Before the event, participants will raise funds by asking family and friends to support their efforts by forming teams.
“The Bark For Life event is an opportunity for people to celebrate canine companionship and fight back against cancer with their dogs,” said Vivian Chan, a cancer survivor and member of the American Cancer Society San Gabriel Valley Leadership Council. “Every person who has been close to a cancer experience and has a dog in their life is invited to participate.”
