Circle Drive Bridge Opens

The new and improved Circle Drive Bridge is finally open to the public.

The city of San Marino invites the community to come to the dedication on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m., which is located on Circle Drive above Virginia Road. The bridge was over 100 years old, and was in dire need of renovations.

Los Angeles County and San Marino entered into an agreement in 2012, in which the county would take responsibility for the bridge during the time of construction only.

The county also received federal funding for the project. The city was required to pay about $300,000 as well as any extra costs. Total costs were estimated to be approximately $2.4 million.
