Accompanied by a police escort, the San Marino Titans departed for Sacramento and tomorrow’s CIF State Championship football game against Modesto Central Catholic High School. The contest will take place at Sacramento State University and kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Both teams are 15-0 and champions of their respective north and south regions.
For those unable to make the trip to the State Capitol, a three-screen private viewing party will be held at the Dog Haus, which is located at 410 E. Main Street in Alhambra. The game will be televised on Time Warner’s Community Channel 84 in San Marino, and DirecTV’s channel 691.
Former Titan Mom Karen Santos brought a sign made by her granddaughter that has survived each of San Marino’s five previous playoff games and had each player and coach choose a 2015 penny or nickel for good luck.
