Officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence in the 1300 block of Belhaven Road at 8:53 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19.
When officers arrived the vehicle, described as a white Toyota Tacoma, had already left the location. A few hours later an audible alarm activation was received for the same location. As officers arrived, they noticed a white Toyota Tacoma leaving the area with the same license plate that was provided to on the previous call.
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Huntington Drive and Sunny Slope in the city of San Gabriel. Police contacted the driver, who was later identified as S/Koah, Chun Wen (50, San Gabriel). They found several debit cards and mail not belonging to Koah during a search of him and his vehicle. Items were also found that had been stolen from the Belhaven Road location.
Koah was transported to Alhambra jail for booking on charges of PC 459-Burglary/ PC 466 – Burglary Tools, PC 602 – Trespass, PC 496 – Receiving Stolen Property.
The next day, on Saturday, Feb. 20, officers received an audible alarm activation around 4:44 a.m. at a business in the 1100 block of Huntington Drive. Officers arrived within two minutes and observed a vehicle fleeing the parking lot.
They stopped the vehicle at Huntington Drive and Bedford Road in San Marino. Once the driver stopped, the passenger fled south between some businesses and out of sight. Officer contacted the driver who was later identified as Germell Miles (39, Los Angeles).
Miles was arrested and transported to Alhambra jail for booking on charges of PC 459-Burglary to a business. The passenger, described as a male black approximately 6 foot with a thin build, was not able to be located.
