It’s time for Valentine Elementary School’s Fall Fair. The community is invited to the “Viking Island Fair” on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school’s playground, 1650 Huntington Drive.
There’s a tropical theme this year and the event will feature food, game booths, rides and the popular “Valentine’s Got Talent” show. Dining options include Rice Balls of Fire and Austyn’s Burgers food trucks as well as 21 Choices Frozen Yogurt.
A PTA parent volunteer committee has been working tirelessly behind the scenes for the past few months alongside fair co-directors Natalie O’Connor and Daisy Wilson.
“We’ve decided to move the fair to a Sunday this year to create a more relaxed experience and better quality time for all families,” co-director Wilson said. “We’re hoping to provide some island fun without taking away from all the busy Saturday activities.”
Valentine families can help the PTA raise money for the school and make the fair even more successful by participating in multiple patron levels.
A variety of other PTA-sponsored events, including a Family Luau, Fair Boutique shopping day, Guys’ Night In and Patron Party, will also be held in conjunction with the fair in the upcoming weeks.
“We are looking forward to a having a wave of a good time at the Viking Island Fair!” said Wilson.
Proceeds from the fair and its related events help support Valentine PTA’s enrichment programs including art, music, science, library and technology.
