On Monday this week, an emergency crew with the Glendale Fire Department returned to Garfield Avenue and paid a visit to 13-year-old Raylen, whom they rushed to a local hospital on July 24 after she was struck and dragged 30 feet by an SUV outside of her apartment. The crew — firefighter-paramedic Jesse Landeverde, ambulance operator Raul Salmeron, Capt. Mark Masto, firefighter-paramedic Chris Mays and ambulance operator Bao Nguyen — ended up together on the same shift again and decided to bring Raylen a get-well card. The motorist, who was driving a black Lexus GX460 SUV, remains at large. Those with any information about this crime, which occurred at 3:12 p.m. Friday, July 24, should contact the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-4911.
