East Meets West Hosts Pivotal Parenting Seminar This Sunday

Elaine Kung will be the keynote speaker for the East Meets West Parent Education Club this Sunday afternoon.

East Meets West Parent Education Club, a local charitable nonprofit, will begin its education program this fall with an important parenting conference with keynote speaker Elaine Kung, who will speak on the topic of “Winning the Heart of Your Child During the Pandemic” on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m.
Kung is a national speaker who lectures about mentoring and leading others to success and has invested in hundreds of mentees and students around the world. She is a frequent speaker at corporations, colleges, churches, conferences and nonprofits in the United States and overseas, where she talks about leadership, career development, marriage, parenting, faith, work and various life skills to audiences of thousands. Kung has received such industry recognitions as the Women of Color STEM Career Achievement Industry Award and the Successful Women in Business Most On-Fire Manager.
Kung speaks from her personal journey integrating her calling, career and community experiences. She grew up in poverty in Hong Kong and immigrated to the United States as a refugee before earning degrees from Cornell, Princeton, Columbia and Penn.
Hung is retired following a 33-year career at AT&T and currently serves on multiple boards of directors and as a church elder. She and her husband have two adult children and reside in San Diego.
