HALLOWEEN SCAVENGER HUNT
The city of San Marino Community Services Department presents the Halloween Scavenger Haunt, a fun and safe alternative to trick-or-treating this year. Families can join in the spooky monster hunt by using a map from Oct. 28-30 to try to find all of the monsters around town. All children with a completed map will receive a goodie bag prize.
For a map and for more information, call (626) 403-2200. Completed maps should be turned in between 2-7 p.m. on Oct.30.
The Scavenger Haunt will take place around San Marino. Turn in completed maps at the San Marino Recreation Department at 1560 Pasqualito Drive to receive a goodie bag.
PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
Grab your carving tools and pick out the perfect pumpkin for a pumpkin carving contest. Show off your creative skills by sending us a photo of your masterpiece. Winners will be selected by categories: Classic Halloween, Most Creative and Spookiest Pumpkin. Submit your photos on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #sanmarinopumpkincontest. Winners will receive a $25 gift card to a local business.
Submissions will be accepted until Saturday, Oct. 31. Winners will be announced the week of Nov. 2.
