NCL Prepares for Debutante Ball

First published in the Nov. 4 print issue of the San Marino Tribune.

With San Marino Area Chapter of National Charity League’s ball season underway, the class of 2026 recently hosted incoming Debutante Ball parents for a special evening.
At the event at the San Marino home of Richard and Sean Lord, parents of girls being presented from the classes of 2020 and 2021 enjoyed an outdoor, Italian-themed dinner and brushed up on their ballroom dancing skills. Twenty-four young women will be presented at the upcoming annual Debutante Ball on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at the Millennium Biltmore in Los Angeles.
The chapter, which is in its 61st year, fosters mother-daughter relationships while upholding a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. The chapter helps support 20 local philanthropies and provides scholarships to underprivileged female high school seniors.
