K.L. Carver Elementary and Partnership for Awareness recently came together for Red Ribbon Week to promote awareness about mental and physical health.
On Monday, Pioneers kicked off the event by wearing red, and throughout the week participants also wore their shirts inside out, shouted out their feelings, and dressed in rainbow-colored apparel, among other activities.
On Thursday, Pioneers closed Red Ribbon Week by showering the Carver Kindness Tree with heart-shaped notes to make it blossom.
Red Ribbon Week parent volunteers included Mandy Au Yeung, Belinda Hwang, Jocelyn Kan, co-chair Karen Lai, Suzie Lee, Sara Norris, Joanna Wang, Lina Wu, Esther Yao, co-chair Catherine Yu and Hsuan Zee.
