SMPD Crime Report

A reported missing person was located in the 1400 block of Virginia Road on Monday, Jan. 24.

A report was taken in the San Marino Police Department lobby for found property on Monday, Jan. 24.

Officers responded to a traffic collision on Tuesday, Jan. 25 involving two vehicles in the 2200 block of Huntington Drive.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Los Robles Avenue and Wilson Avenue and identified the driver and suspect to have an outstanding warrant for reckless driving. The suspect was issued an own recognizance citation and released from the scene.

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Plymouth Road to investigate a vehicle theft on Wednesday, Jan. 26. The subsequent investigation revealed the victim’s vehicle was taken without his consent.

Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Canon Drive for a reported death on Thursday, Jan. 27. Further investigation revealed no signs of foul play or crime.

Adult Protection Services were alerted of an incident in the 1900 block of Marino Terrace on Thursday, Jan. 27. Their investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Officers conducted a traffic stop at Sharon Place and Rose Avenue on Thursday, Jan. 27. Officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The individual was arrested and transported to Pasadena City Jail.

Officers responded to a traffic collision in the 2400 block of Huntington Drive involving two vehicles on Friday, Jan. 28. There were no injuries reported.

At least one person attempted to enter a residence in the 1500 block of Bellwood Road on Saturday, Jan. 29, and then fled from the location in an unknown direction by unknown means.

The San Marino Police Department had 408 calls for service between Sunday, Jan. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 29. There was one residential burglary reported, and there have now been three reported in 2022. Information was gathered from a department memorandum summarizing key incidents handled during this period.
