The San Marino Garden Club recently assembled for a demonstration of backyard vegetable gardening in small spaces.
One of the treats was touring the San Marino penthouse garage of Agnes Lew, and her self-watering vegetable garden, where she cultivates and grows seasonal vegetables, squashes and herbs. Lew explained the ongoing competition, “man versus squirrels.”
Shana Bayat taught attendees how to pickle vegetables.
