Maranatha: Where Your Student is Known, Challenged, Transformed

Maranatha High School has a longstanding reputation of providing an excellent college-preparatory education in a Christ-revering context.

As one of the only non-denominational Christian schools in the San Gabriel Valley, Maranatha is a unique and vibrant community where your student can be known and supported, learn to embrace and accomplish challenges, and be transformed in their spiritual maturity and growth. The student/teacher relationships at Maranatha are key to the strength of the school community, with students often noting how grateful they are for the mentorship and assistance the staff offers on a daily basis.
Maranatha’s rigorous academic program offers 39 advanced-placement and honors courses and has continually proven to be exceptional in the performing and visual arts. The school’s athletic program has proven competitive with CIF and state level wins and features 40 teams in 19 sports.

In addition, there are many other great opportunities on campus, including a wide variety of clubs from which to choose, as well as mission trips and service opportunities locally and globally. It’s a wonderful home for the all-around diverse student.
The school’s Technology Integration Learning Environment (TILE) Lab features a Coding/Robotics Center, which utilizes PC laptop computers for Computer Science classes and applications, while the Creative/Design Center features 25 iMac workstations for graphic design and photography courses.

And at the center of the TILE Lab is the Maker Space, featuring seven 3D printers, a high-speed dual laser cutter, a virtual reality (VR) creation area, and a robotics competition field. The Maker Space is a lab for students to produce the work they create in the other two classrooms, and can be utilized by courses across all disciplines.
It’s no wonder that Maranatha students enjoy acceptance to a wide variety of four-year colleges, including: Cal Tech, Brown, Amherst College, Georgetown University, Dartmouth, USC, University of Michigan, New York University, Loyola Marymount University, Harvey Mudd College, Columbia University, The University of Chicago, Penn State, UCLA, Vassar College, Wellesley College, Rice University, Carnegie Mellon University, Rensselaer University, Whitworth University, as well as prestigious art and design schools.
Maranatha High School invites you to schedule a visit to its picturesque 11-acre campus near Old Town Pasadena and see for yourself why Maranatha High School is an educational community unlike any other.
Am admissions open house is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10 a.m. For more information, contact the admissions office at (626) 817-4021 or visit the school’s website at maranathahighschool.org.
