Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!
We are looking forward to seeing you on the Huntington Middle School campus and we are ready to start the 2022-23 school year with excitement. Be ready to enter school with excitement and anticipate the wonderful opportunities to learn, build friendships and grow as a school community. The HMS faculty and staff are ready to help each and every student grow in academic achievement and social emotional growth.
As principal of an award-winning school, a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School, I am honored and humbled to lead the HMS community into another challenging and life-changing year. The changes are inevitable, but there is no ceiling to our growth. The time is now for HMS to focus on the core of who we are as a school community; a school that has a tradition of academic excellence where every student is valued and an active learner
The amazing instruction staff of teachers and aides at HMS will thrive each day to inspire students. HMS teachers are ready to engage students with high quality instruction. Students will begin to rediscover and recognize the value of learning and grow to new academic and social-emotional levels. This will occur in core academic classes, physical education, elective classes, athletics and the many of the extra-curricular activities HMS has to offer.
In addition, we believe strongly that HMS students should develop character traits and citizenship qualities that benefit the climate of the school and enhance the well-being of every individual. This year our focus will be focusing on the following character traits: responsibility, respect, trustworthiness, honesty, self-discipline, integrity, courage and perseverance. Every month we celebrate the contributions of students at the Good Citizenship Breakfast, a tangible way positive actions are recognized and rewarded.
On behalf of all teachers, staff and administrators at Huntington Middle School, I wish you a wonderful start to the 2022-23 school year. Let’s go Foxes, we got this!
Sempre avanti
