Special to the Tribune
The staff of Valentine Elementary welcomes students, families and our community to the 2022-2023 school year! As the new principal of Valentine Elementary, I am blessed to join a supportive community with exceptional teachers, staff members and devoted families.
The educational program at Valentine is built on high expectations, with an academically focused curriculum that values and grows the whole child in a positive and caring learning environment. Beliefs that will contribute to our vision of a school are those that shape character, nurture intellect and inspire students to reach their full potential.
This year we will continue to propel our school with growth in all academic areas, build community connections and relationships, and bring about the best possible educational focus as we thrive to inspire and empower students to achieve excellence through learning responsibility, having integrity and persevering to accomplish their learning goals.
Our staff is excited to foster relationships with students, families and members of the community as we commit to building a caring and collaborative learning community with engaging and challenging experiences for all students. We will continue to ignite a love of learning in our students as we have a student-centered educational approach that values and grows the whole child.
I am grateful to the San Marino Schools Foundation, the Valentine PTA, and the SMUSD District Office for their continued support and generosity. I am honored to be the incoming principal and look forward to building on the standard of excellence that clearly defines Valentine Elementary School, its students, staff, parents and entire school community. It gives me great pride to be a Valentine Viking and I welcome all new and returning families to Valentine Elementary School!
