The faculty and staff of San Marino High School are so excited to get the school year going. This year we continue our service to the great community of San Marino for our 70th year!
It is amazing to think that the first class to walk through these hallowed halls was back in 1952-53. As I considered this, I walked the Senior Class Memory Lane that began with our first graduating class in 1956. So many amazing individuals have graced our hallways and we have so many more to come!
This year we will continue to focus on creating a student-centered experience with excellent programs and opportunities for our students. This does not mean that we will not be rigorous, and have high expectations for ourselves and our students. It means we will continue to build our understanding of our role in the lives of our students.
We, more than anything, will be focused on building students’ capacity to learn and persevere through challenges, as students make their own responsible decisions that positively affect the course of their lives. We commit to maintaining and improving our Relationships and Rigor, Grace and Grades, Patience and Programs, and Love and Lessons.
Keeping these in mind we know this will be an amazing year for all our Titans.

Jason Kurtenbach is the principal of San Marino High School.
