San Marino Schools Foundation Committed to Education Funding

San Marino Schools Foundation President

The San Marino Schools Foundation is happy to welcome students to the 2022-23 school year.
I am honored to serve as the foundation’s president this year. As an alum of San Marino High School, with both a recently graduated and a current San Marino High School student, I am deeply committed to our schools and community.
Under President Erin Bilvado’s leadership last year, the Foundation awarded over $2 million in grants to the district. The grants benefit the district in many ways, including funding teachers at each of the four school sites, enhancing art and sports programs, and offering a breadth of academic programs that would otherwise be unavailable with the district’s very limited state funding.
Thank you to every person who made a donation to the foundation last year. The district could not continue its tradition of excellence without your support.
We look forward to another productive year, with 21 dedicated trustees and the recently hired Annual Campaign and Programs Manager Kathryn Oliveros overseeing the foundation’s day-to-day administration.
In addition to the foundation’s commitment to raising $2 million, some of our goals for the year include increasing alumni engagement, raising the foundation’s donor participation rate and further educating the community about the district’s ongoing funding needs.
We are deeply appreciative of our donors, and in addition to donor recognition events throughout the year, you should expect to see our usual banners along Huntington Drive and the spring yard signs.
We are already off to a strong start with parent donations and pledges made as part of the district’s back-to-school registration process. To those who have already made a commitment to give for the upcoming school year, we thank you. For those who have yet to give, we encourage you to visit the San Marino Schools Foundation website at smsf.org, email us at info@smsf.org, or call the office at (626) 299-7014.
