Local Women Celebrated at ‘Wind Under Their Wings’

Greater Los Angeles Scouting celebrated 104 years of scouting and honored the women of the Eagle Scouts at the 23rd annual “Wind Under Their Wings” luncheon on May 6.
The event, located at St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church, included reflections from Eagle Scout Elizabeth Garcia, who achieved her Eagle rank in only 24 months, and keynote speaker Maj. Alphonso Jones, who shared from his memoir, “Soaring, My Improbable Life.”
