Longtime San Marino resident Ann K. Coughlin passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 20, 2022, just five days shy of her 85th birthday.
Ann was born in Twin Falls, ID on July 25, 1937, and moved to San Marino as a young girl with her family. Ann graduated from Stanford University in 1959. Ann’s lifelong career teaching High School Spanish at Hoover High School in Glendale was one of her greatest passions. She began teaching at Hoover in 1963 and retired in 2003.
During her summer breaks from teaching and post retirement Ann loved to travel the world. She traveled to more than 100 countries and loved learning about new cultures and visiting with locals along the way. Ann was an active member of Saints Felicitas and Perpetua in San Marino for many years.
Ann is survived by her niece, great nephew and niece, and many cousins.
A funeral service is scheduled for Ann on July 29th at 10:30 a.m. at Saints Felicitas and Perpetua.
