Anna Louise Lund | Obituary

Born in Fancy Farm, Kentucky, Louise, affectionately known as Mama Lu to her family, was the fourth of seven children to Lambert and Laurine (Hayden).  Lu had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukemia with a six month prognosis.  In those last months the love for and from her family gave her inner peace and joy.  Because of her positive outlook on life she never complained and died peacefully in her sleep at home in Pasadena.
As a teenager, her family moved to Eagle Rock.  In high school, while working as a bakery girl at one of her Uncle Rube’s grocery stores (Shopping Bag) is where she met the love of her life, Gary, the box boy.  Married in 1959, Gary and Lu raised their three sons in San Marino.  Endlessly volunteering for school events and an ever present supporter for all their athletic endeavors, she took great pleasure in being active in their lives.
She became an Interior Designer and with her impeccable taste would make any room worthy of Architectural Digest.  Her incredible aesthetic ability carried through to her style in clothing and always looked glamorous even sitting on the bleachers.
Happily married for 46 years until Gary passed away in 2006.  They loved to socialize and were admired for their dancing skills.  Now they are dance partners once again.
Forever in our hearts, Lu will be remembered for the full and happy life she had and the love she gave to her family.  She was always upbeat and positive, had a grace and radiance about her and was always on time.
Lu is survived by her three sons, Brent, Chad (Mary) and Todd; granddaughters Sophia and Bianca; and younger sister, Mary.
