Elena Frances (Bonaro) Baldo, a San Marino resident since 1972, passed away at her home on September 3, 2020 surrounded by family. Elena’s passion in life was as an Educator having received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh followed by a Master of Science Degree from the School of Education at the University of Southern California. Elena was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Alhambra for many years. She enjoyed keeping up with current events and relished great debates among friends and family on political and world events. She was a huge fan of all sports and loved cheering on the football teams and especially her beloved Trojans. Elena was passionate about her large Italian family and is survived by her five adult children Cami, Bob, Christine, Cynthia and David. She was thrilled to be Nana to eight grandchildren and even one great grandchild! She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Baldo, whom she married in 1958. Elena lived a long and wonderful life creating many beautiful memories for all who loved her. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
