The San Marino Area Chapter of National Charity League recently had its final meeting of the program year at Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel. The chapter heard from its incoming Tea and Ball chairs, Lynn Eriksen and Alex Brousseau, about the theme for these events. They have chosen, “You Shall See Wonders,” a quote from William Shakespeare’s “Merry Wives of Windsor.” These events celebrate the journey taken by graduating seniors who have worked hard in service and philanthropy within the community. The theme is symbolized by an evergreen wreath, which will be seasonal and ever-changing, reminding the class of 2019 to stay aware of the many wonders that will surround them and their journeys to come that will be filled with exciting new beginnings, bold adventures and wonder.
As well as its board business, the chapter also held a Job Fair calling attention to all the opportunities within the chapter to get involved and make a rewarding contribution to the community.
