The San Marino Public Library Foundation transformed the Crowell Public Library to evoke the sights, sounds and epicurean delights of the great state of California during the Delicious Destinations fundraising event last Saturday. Guests enjoyed shopping in the boutique before heading into the main library for a variety of culinary delights, musical renditions from the Contemporary Los Angeles Winds and numerous silent auction opportunities.
This year’s Delicious Destinations sets the groundwork to provide funding for the replacement of the 36 public internet access computers, which have been in service since 2015 and provided more than 36,000 hours of public service last year, and for adult programming for the coming year. The library provided more than 200 adult programs last year with about 4,900 in attendance. The foundation enthusiastically assists the library as it continues to provide quality service and programs to the community.
