The San Marino Police and Fire departments hosted a Public Safety Barbecue last Saturday for locals to interact with the departments and learn about simple safety habits. The event, held next to the fire station and City Hall, included showings of emergency vehicles and a fire demonstration for the crowd. Throughout the day, about 200 locals passed through to meet with city and department officials, including Mayor Steven Huang, Fire Chief Mario Rueda and Police Chief John Incontro. Rueda and Incontro organized the event with the Firefighters’ Association and Police Activities League presidents Nathan Foth and Naved Qureshi.
