Parent Party Raises Money for St. Edmund’s

St. Edmund’s Nursery School families recently came together for the school’s annual Parent Party and Auction. This year’s theme was “A Bluegrass BBQ.” Thanks to event co-chairs Kelley Terrazas and Colleen McGuinness, St. Edmund’s families enjoyed a fun-filled party under twinkling lights, complete with good food, good friends and fundraising. The evening’s auction featured a wide variety of exciting items, including a golf outing at Sherwood Country Club, the use of two vacation homes and Father’s Day Dodgers tickets. In addition, guests had the opportunity to donate to the school’s first annual service project, called “The Giving Tree,” which raised funds to purchase backpacks and school supplies needed by local children and their families and donate them to the Hillsides organization. The party not only raised money for both St. Edmund’s and the Giving Tree project, but also brought parents together to celebrate another terrific school year. Head of School Liz Westphal and board chair Jenny Kaw spoke during the event and thanked guests for their continued support of the school, its service project, and for being part of such a wonderful community of families.
